Our recent advocacy campaign calling for stronger disability rights legislation has reached a significant milestone, gathering over 10,000 signatures from supporters across the country. The campaign, launched three months ago, aims to push for comprehensive reforms in disability rights protection.
The petition calls for improved accessibility standards in public buildings, better employment opportunities for people with disabilities, and enhanced support services. Supporters have been sharing their personal stories and experiences, highlighting the urgent need for change.
“This milestone shows that people care about disability rights,” said our Head of Advocacy. “We will continue to push for meaningful change and ensure that the voices of people with disabilities are heard in policy-making.”
The campaign will continue through the end of the year, with plans to present the petition to lawmakers during the next legislative session.
